I am a middle school science teacher and mother of two teenagers.  My career in fitness began in 2006, when I became a fitness trainer at Gold's Gym in Olathe.  in 2008, I became certified as a personal trainer through American College of Sports Medicine and began work at Prairie Life Fitness Center.  I instructed group fitness (boot camp and interval training) as well as did personal training for individual clients.  My specialties included weight loss, general fitness and body sculpting, running and triathlon training.  I consider myself a runner and have completed marathons in 12 states.  My goal is to hit all 50.  To better accommodate my family, I left the fitness industry in 2014 to turn my attention to teaching.  I have coached track and cross country for five years.  I am once again certified as a group fitness instructor through American Sports and Fitness Association and am excited to join the GotEM Fit family.  I love hiking, running, reading, photography, laughing, and trying new things.
